Which social sharing options are available with Zinrelo?

We have:

  • Share with Facebook
  • Share with Twitter
  • Share with Pinterest
  • Share with Instagram

How can I set up Social Sharing?

  • Go to Program Settings >> Click on the edit icon of any social sharing option >> Enable the toggle

General settings:

  • Points: Number of points to be awarded when an account is created.
  • Approval type: You can set the approval of point allocation in different ways. It could be

a) Immediately

b) Manually ( where you manually approve the request)

c) After a fixed duration: You can set up a fixed duration of days after which the

points will get approved automatically.

  • Activity Template for the dashboard: If you select " Visual" the system will let you upload an image of your own that will be displayed on the End-user dashboard.

  • Activity ID: This field cannot be edited for the in-built activities. For custom activities, this field acts as a reference in the API call.
  • Show activity in User Dashboard: You can opt if you want to display this activity on the End-user dashboard or hide it.

Text Configuration:

You can set up the text for the activity. This text will be displayed to the end-user via the onsite notification OR end-user dashboard.

# Facebook:

This activity is created to encourage Facebook sharing. Points for this activity are not awarded when the customer shares on Facebook but when someone clicks on the shared FB post. This is done for two reasons – to confirm to FB sharing policy and to prevent abuse through shares visible only to the customer.

Share current page URL: Anyone clicking through the FB post shared through the Zinrelo widget will land on your home page. This option enables you to let the member share your website on Facebook or the current page they are on while sharing the post.

Can the post be customized?

The post cannot be customized within Zinrelo. When a post is put up on FB, FB crawls the landing page where the post directs people to and picks up the content from that page automatically to display in the post.
So the post can still be customized by setting up appropriate og tags on the respective landing page of your site.

# Twitter:

This activity is created to encourage Twitter sharing. Points for this activity are not awarded when the customer shares on Twitter but when someone clicks on the tweet.
This activity does not have any additional configuration fields.

Sharing Mode:

a) Standard- Using this option the member can share your business website on Twitter where the link will be posted

b) Hashtag: You can create your own hashtag. The member will be asked for their handles and if they share using the mentioned hashtag, they will receive points.

Unlike the Share on Facebook and Share on Pinterest activities, customers don't have to share from the loyalty dashboard; they can directly post on Instagram. The post has to be identified with a particular #hashtag.

# Pinterest:

This activity is created to encourage Pinterest sharing. Points for this activity are not awarded when the customer shares on Pinterest but when someone clicks on the shared post. This is done for two reasons – to confirm to Pinterest sharing policy and to prevent abuse through shares visible only to the customer.

Post Image: Using this option you can attach an image with the post. So when the post will be shared the image will be attached to it

#Follow on Instagram

You can define your business handle within Zinrelo. On the end-user dashboard, the members will see a "Follow" button using which they will be redirected to the defined business page.

This is a one-time activity. After the follow button is clicked, the points are awarded to the member.

Please note: Facebook and Instagram do not allow third-party programs to pull information from their services. Thus it is not possible to check whether a user has actually followed your account on Instagram.

This means that users will not be rewarded for clicking the follow option on your official Instagram page but for clicking the Follow button in the Zinrelo End User Dashboard. This activity works on the honor system with your customers.

This is the best possible implementation available and that the downside risk is really low because (a) Users can only earn these points once and (b) Most users complete the follow action.

Yes, you can. By using a small snippet of code you can set up a call to action function.

For example, I have Facebook, Twitter icons on my website already. When my customers click on those I want to show them that if you share from the loyalty program you can win points instead.
